Although Mother's Day just pass as a holiday in the U.S. and Father's Day will come soon..
Many of us have some form of good or not so good relationship with our parents or children...
As the images above may indicate which relationship we may have
.
The images shows different relationships
(1) A Family having a moment together looking over family portrait,
(2) Family studying and praying together,
(3) image shows having neither...
When we think of our parents or children we must remember...they are only human and gives us what they can and know how...some good qualities and some not good... at all.
When my parents gave the (7) of us the foundation of the Kingdom of God, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit along with what they knew was enough to help us become well rounded people. Needless to say we were raised in a community where every family knew each other...Not like the current communities today?
Today many of us are parents and need to reevaluate our own relationships with our children...what type of parent are we...has our parenting become routine..because our children are not babies anymore? Routine meaning not teaching anymore...but supporting the routine...
When our children is in need of a hug...do you notice? When our children has dealt with an issue dealing with other races do you feed them opinionated judgement or how to bring peace to a situation? How is the relationship?
Those of us with parents....How is the relationship? Is it good? Does it even exist? (Living or deceased how is/was it)? As children do we have judgement against our parents because they don't think the way we think they should? Did he or she do or say or didn't say or do something that rubbed you the wrong way? Have you forgiven them...or have you forgiven yourself for judgement against your parents? When it comes to attitude and personality we are in control of both attitude and personality....How is it toward your parents? Remember they also have had a life's journey...do you know what that journey entailed...was it good...or bad? Do you know?
Being a parent and child can be positive or not so positive journey...
Relationships with Daddy/Mama Son/Daughter how is it?
Remember we are FAMILY...regardless of it all
